A beautiful blue sky warm April day saw Bruce Howe (23 Handicap) after many years of careful tutoring finally joined the winners rostrum at a WNCC golf day. Joined by James Holden (23), who retired from golf two years ago, they made full use of their handicap venturing in to all corners of the Hunstanton Golf Course. However a boom/bust round still enabled them to chalk up a joint stableford score of 36, four clear of their nearest rivals.
The resident Captain Nick Pull (10) and S Broke (17) followed up on 32 points, one point ahead of James Harrison (5) and James Ringer (18).
The well attended day, superbly organised by Simon Flint and admirably hosted by Hunstanton.
