Having had to wait another 2 weeks West Norfolk went into the Semi Final v Fakenham in good spirits but not exactly over prepared!

The Sun was out and Club Captain decided to Bat. Simon TW and debutant young Will opened up. They cantered away with an incredible 14 an over for the first 3 overs and set the tone for a wonderful top score of 188 for 8. STW top scored with 72 (50 off 27 balls) with Will and Edmund Parker chipping in.

Fakenham CC batted very steadily and were in the game from the word go. 9 an over was a tall order but they were on course until losing wickets after 12 overs.

Their final pair needed 33 off 12 balls and miraculouslywalloped the ball for 11 balls to need just 6 off the last ball. Tom Hancock was bowling his debut spell and performed beautifully under great pressure. Fortunately the slog over the bowlers head fell short and West Norfolk were through to consecutive Finals

Andrew Hancock and Richard Thompson also bowled well and we look forward to the Final next Friday (19th July)
